March 16, 1973 - Stan Hinkley (left) and Dennis Olmstead exult as Dean Talafous has just tied Cornell at 5-5 in the 1973 NCAA semi-final game. Cornell goaltender Dave Elenbass looks up at the Boston Garden clock which showed only five seconds remaining in regulation time. Talafous went on to score the winning goal with 9:27 gone in the sudden death overtime. The Badgers came back the following night to beat Denver University, 4-2, to take the national championship.
